Indulge in a mouthwatering fusion of dessert tacos. In this recipe, I’ll share with you the best combo of tacos you’ve never tried. Let’s begin!
Pancake Batter: In a dessert taco, I’m not particularly eager to use bread; instead, I use chocolate pancakes. The pancakes act as bread. For this, you’ll need the following:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (sifted)
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ¾ cup milk
Directions:
- In a bowl, add the all-purpose flour, salt, cocoa powder, caster sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Add the egg, melted butter, and milk to the dry ingredients. Whisk until well combined and set aside.
- Grease a 7-inch frying pan with butter and pour 1 cup and 1 tbsp of the prepared batter. Cook on low flame from both sides until done (flip when bubbles rise on the surface, approximately 1 minute on each side).
- Your bread is ready!
Dessert Filling: For the filling, you’ll require the following:
- Whipped cream
- Fresh fruits such as strawberries, bananas, or blueberries
- Sprinkles or mini chocolate chips (for added texture and colour)
- Marshmallows (regular or mini)
- Nutella (for a delightful spread)
Directions:
- Take one of your chocolate pancakes. Spread Nutella on the entire surface.
- Place fresh fruits such as strawberries or bananas on top of the Nutella. You can use your preferred fruits of choice — I prefer bananas and strawberries.
- Next, add a layer of whipped cream on top of the fruits.
- Then, add marshmallows and sprinkle chocolate chips or any other toppings of your choice.
- Feel free to change and add ingredients as per your taste. This taco delight is a new dessert item for your next gathering. Happy eating!
